Trans Mission 2026 at Wembley Arena

On Wednesday 11th March 2026, Rachel and I travelled from Swansea to London for Trans Mission 2026 Wembley Arena at the iconic OVO Arena Wembley. The event was presented by Mighty Hoopla and Olly Alexander.

It was a powerful night of live music, solidarity, and activism.

Travelling from Swansea to Wembley

We travelled by National Express from Swansea to London. The journey gave us time to reflect on past visits to Wembley.

I had not visited the new Wembley Arena complex for many years. My previous visits were to the old Wembley Stadium, when I watched the Wales national rugby union team play there during the rebuilding of the Cardiff stadium.

Seeing the Wembley arch come into view again felt special. It marked a return to a place filled with sporting and cultural memories.

It had also been around twenty years since I last visited Wembley Arena. On that occasion, I saw James perform live, with Stereophonics as the support act.

Arrival in Wembley and Hotel Stay

After arriving in Wembley, Rachel and I stopped for a drink at The White Horse before checking into the nearby Hilton London Wembley.

The hotel was comfortable and ideal for getting ready for the evening ahead.

We showered, changed, and then had dinner in the hotel restaurant.

I ordered the grilled half chicken with maple and mustard glaze. It came with grilled Portobello mushroom, roasted plum tomato, chunky chips, and a glass of merlot. It was excellent.

Rachel chose the chicken murgh makhani with basmati rice, sourdough naan, poppadom, and mango chutney. She really enjoyed it.

The following morning, we woke up to an amazing buffet breakfast that felt excellent value for money. I pretty much had a three-course breakfast.

I started with fruit, Greek yogurt, granola, and seeds. After that, I enjoyed a full cooked breakfast with bacon, sausage, eggs, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, and hash browns. Finally, I finished with a selection of sweet pastries.

It was the perfect way to start the day before travelling home from Wembley.

Trans Mission 2026 Wembley Arena Live Review

The main event of the trip was Trans Mission 2026 Wembley Arena, held at OVO Arena Wembley, which sits next to Wembley Stadium.

The night celebrated music, identity, and solidarity. It also raised funds for Good Law Project and Not a Phase.

The atmosphere inside the arena was electric from start to finish.

Standout Performances at Trans Mission 2026 Wembley Arena

A personal highlight of the night for me was Wolf Alice. As a big fan, I might be slightly biased, but they delivered a powerful and energetic set that sounded incredible live.

We also saw outstanding performances from Christine and the Queens, Kate Nash, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Kae Tempest, and Olly Alexander.

One of the most memorable moments came from Beth Ditto, who completely lit up Wembley Arena with an explosive performance.

Solidarity, Activism and Support

The event was not just about music. It also focused on solidarity and trans rights.

Special appearances included Ian McKellen, Russell Tovey, and Zack Polanski of the Green Party of England and Wales.

Their messages highlighted equality, visibility, and the importance of standing together.

Final Thoughts on Trans Mission 2026 Wembley Arena

Trans Mission 2026 Wembley Arena was more than a concert. It was a night of music, activism, and community.

From travelling from Swansea, to staying in Wembley, to experiencing an unforgettable line-up, the entire trip was meaningful.

Rachel and I will remember this night for a long time.
