Community Groups

Building connections with others can have a positive impact on wellbeing. It can also help people feel more confident and engaged in local life. Across Swansea and South West Wales, many groups and organisations provide opportunities to meet new people and try new activities.

For example, Age Well Swansea offers a wide range of events and social opportunities. Similarly, women’s groups and LGBTQ+ organisations create welcoming spaces where friendships can grow. In addition, local rail partnership projects help bring people together through shared interests and activities.

Regular meet-ups, coffee mornings, community events, and days out encourage social interaction. As a result, they can help reduce isolation and strengthen local connections. Through Juxtapose With YOU, I share experiences from these activities and highlight the positive impact they have on people and places across the region.
