Originally launched in 2018 as a personal blog on Blogspot, operated by Google, Juxtapose With U has since evolved into a WordPress-powered website that combines storytelling, culture, lifestyle, community engagement, and digital creativity. Today, it serves as a space where personal experiences meet broader conversations, offering readers a diverse mix of content that informs, inspires, and celebrates the world around us.
At its heart, Juxtapose With U is about discovery and connection. A Swansea Perspective
Based in Swansea, South Wales, many of the stories featured on Juxtapose With U are inspired by the city, the Swansea Valley, and the wider Welsh community. However, the website’s focus extends far beyond its local roots, highlighting experiences, destinations, and ideas from across Wales and beyond.
Growing up in the upper Swansea Valley and later returning to the area after living elsewhere in the UK has given me a deep appreciation for the Welsh concept of hiraeth — a sense of belonging and connection to place. That perspective continues to influence the stories I tell and the communities I engage with.
About Me
I’m Christina Thomas, a Digital Creative Producer with a passion for storytelling, design, and community engagement. My professional background includes graphic design, website development, content creation, digital marketing, social media management, and search engine optimisation (SEO).
Throughout my career, I have worked with businesses, charities, community groups, and creative organisations, helping them communicate their message through engaging digital experiences and effective visual communication.
My approach combines creativity with strategy, ensuring that content not only looks good but also connects with audiences in meaningful ways.
Creative Projects
Alongside Juxtapose With U, I created Satisfy Your Taste, a bilingual food and lifestyle platform celebrating Welsh food culture, independent businesses, community organisations, and local events. The project showcases my skills in website design, content production, branding, SEO, and digital marketing while supporting local communities and promoting Welsh culture.
These projects reflect my belief that digital media should do more than share information — it should create connections, support communities, and inspire positive experiences.
