Between November 2008 and August 2011, I worked as a Creative Digital Producer with National Grid for Learning Cymru in Cardiff, part of the WJEC. I created digital learning resources for schools across Wales in both English and Welsh. These resources supported teachers and learners across many subjects.
I collaborated closely with subject officers and schools, using teacher feedback to refine resources. This ensured content remained relevant to the curriculum. I also supported projects linked to Welsh Assembly Government initiatives, aligning resources with national education priorities and strengthening bilingual digital learning across Wales. My work combined creative design, interactive development, multimedia production, and educational insight.
Online Graphics, Digital Activities, and Web Design
I produced online graphics and visual assets, including website banners that linked to learning resources. These helped teachers and learners find content quickly. I developed interactive learning activities for different levels, with bright visuals, clear navigation, and bilingual audio in English and Welsh.
Resources were created using Adobe Flash and ActionScript. I also designed and developed websites with the Welsh Assembly, ensuring all content met accessibility and W3C standards. Using LiveLink CMS, I built sites that were easy to maintain and update. I optimised video content so it could be easily accessed and viewed online, enhancing classroom and remote learning.

Educational Resources Linked to Children’s Programming
I contributed to materials linked to the children’s programme Pentre Bach on S4C. This connected classroom learning with familiar characters and stories. Teachers could extend lessons using these interactive resources, increasing engagement and learning outcomes.

Building Experience as a Creative Digital Producer
This role strengthened my skills in digital learning design, bilingual content creation, and multimedia production. It combined creative design, technical development, and educational insight. My experience at NGFL Cymru laid the foundation for later work with WJEC.
