A Festive Day Out in Swansea

Christmas is a time for good food, great company, and festive magic. This year, I enjoyed A Festive Day Out in Swansea, filled with laughter, delicious food, and unforgettable moments. Here’s how the day unfolded.

The Festivities Began at The Queen’s Hotel

To start the day, we headed to The Queen’s Hotel in the Maritime Quarter for Christmas dinner. The Queen’s is well known for its hearty meals and welcoming atmosphere, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. Our table was beautifully set with classic festive dishes—succulent roast turkey, crispy potatoes, and a medley of seasonal vegetables. Additionally, the rich stuffing and homemade gravy enhanced every bite.

For dessert, I treated myself to a decadent raspberry cheesecake. Not only was it creamy and smooth, but it also had a delicious tangy berry flavour. Without a doubt, it was the perfect way to end the meal.

Pre-Theatre Drinks at Hogarths Swansea

After dinner, we made our way to Hogarth’s Swansea, a cosy gin palace decorated with twinkling fairy lights and festive ornaments. As expected, the warm ambiance made it an ideal spot to relax before the theatre.

I decided to try Gordon’s Alcohol-Free Premium Pink Spirit, which offered a delightful mix of raspberry, strawberry, redcurrant, and juniper. As I sipped my drink, the bar buzzed with cheerful conversations, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Laughter and Reflection at The Dylan Thomas Theatre

Later in the evening, we arrived at The Dylan Thomas Theatre for The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge. This clever twist on A Christmas Carol blended humor with heartfelt moments. Since the theatre was small and intimate, every laugh and emotional moment felt personal.

Wrapping Up a Perfect Day

Finally, as we strolled through the Maritime Quarter, the festive lights reflected beautifully on the water. Without a doubt, A Festive Day Out in Swansea brought Christmas magic, delicious food, and lasting memories.
